About Elliot Productions

Hi, I’m Richie, founder of Elliot Productions based in Cork City, Ireland. I started this film production company for writers and filmmakers who have exciting stories to tell but aren’t sure how to take the next step, whether you’ve been making zero-budget films and are looking at securing funding for the first time, or you’ve just finished a banger of a script and have no idea what to do next. Even the most talented creatives can experience uncertainty when it comes to actually getting a project funded and off the ground, and too often that uncertainty is what stalls great ideas.

I come from a background in photography and commercial videography, and I’ve spent years making narrative short films on zero budgets. I've hit the same roadblocks you may have come up against, funding schemes only for established filmmakers and film production companies that hesitate to back emerging talent. I also happen to be autistic, and navigating systems that weren’t built with me in mind has made me deeply committed to championing diverse, underrepresented voices and building creative relationships based on trust, clarity, and care.

Elliot Productions is currently a one-producer operation, which means a hands-on and equal partnership. I work closely with writers and directors to prepare their projects for funding applications with the end goal of bringing their stories from page to screen across shorts, feature film and television.

Elliot Productions is about original, diverse, deeply human visual storytelling. My goal is to help talented creatives navigate the obstacles I faced on my own journey as a filmmaker. I've succeeded in optioning a number of film projects, secured state film funding and pitched to international television networks, but it was a long, bumpy road getting this far. I hope to make it feel a little less bumpy for you.
